baby bear syrah '19
From a vintage marked by wines with great concentration
and purity of fruit, the Baby Bear Syrah is dark and
intensely colored. Inviting aromas of violet, fresh blackberry,
wild huckleberry, and cassis carry through on the palate.
Savory olive tapenade and sweet spice add complexity.
Rich and multi-layered, the wine’s refined tannins and
vibrant acidity linger on a long, complex finish.
Handpicked grapes were de-stemmed and then traveled
through an optical sorter to ensure only the best fruit was
moved to stainless steel tanks for primary fermentation.
After that, the wine was transferred to new, Taransaud
puncheons (L) and matured slowly to integrate the
fruit and oak fully, further developing the wine’s refined,
complex flavors and a lush mouthfeel.
