Vibrant July Flowers : Focus on the Dahlia and Bordeaux Tones

Caroline and Atlee were married July 14 of last year at the Fremont Foundry. This venue is one of our favorites – it being less than a block away from our shop, the industrial chic style it has and it’s fabulous rooftop deck! We created a beautiful arch of flowers and greenery around the handmade macrame piece that Caroline made! I love when our couples bring something handcrafted to their wedding. It makes it truly their event. This beautiful sunny day kissed our shoulders as we attached flowers onto the backdrop: Dahlias, peonies, garden roses, garden spray roses and eucalyptus greens. Talk about summer lovin! And the couple was just as sunny – and clearly in love! One of Caroline’s focal flowers in her bouquet was the dahlia. She chose a rich bordeaux color which was dramatically accentuated by her lipstick. WOW! The photo below is what wedding portrait dreams are made of!
